WHO ARE WE?
The Texas Section of the American
Association of Physics Teachers (TSAAPT) is an organization dedicated to
physics teaching at all level, from elementary school to college. The
organization holds two meetings each year. The meetings include presentations
on research into the many aspects of physics instruction. Presentations include
both invited speakers who are recognized nationally as leaders in physics
education research and contributed papers by any teacher who has something
interesting to report.
WHAT WOULD IT COST YOU?
A substantial number of workshops are
offered at each meeting. Costs for these workshops are as low as $2.00 and go
up in cost depending on the materials included (it is unusual to have a
workshop cost greater than $10.00). Annual dues are $5.00 and meeting
registration fees are $15.00. Membership dues are part of the Spring meeting’s registration fee.
IN WHOM ARE WE
INTERESTED?
The TSAAPT is very interested in science at
the elementary level, physics research, physics education at all levels, and
students. Meetings are held jointly with the Texas Section of the American
Physical Society and Zone 13 of the Society of Physics Students.
